Meet Vex. Physical intelligence, taking shape.

Vex is Veyrion's humanoid robotics platform, combining vision, speech, physical manipulation and governed control to bring intelligent systems into the physical world.

Vex humanoid robotics platform

Intelligence is getting a body.

Software can understand information. Robots can interact with the physical world. Vex is Veyrion's humanoid robotics platform, being developed to bring these two things together.

Built for the world we built.

The physical world was built for people, reach, movement, tools and workspaces shaped around human hands. A humanoid platform has the potential to operate inside those environments without redesigning them around a machine. Vex is not yet able to do everything a person can, this is the direction the platform is engineered toward.

THE BODY

Built to interact with the physical world.

Two Arms

Six joints per arm.

Two Hands

Eleven joints per hand, enough to hold something with one hand and work on it with the other.

Head

A turning head with camera-based perception.

Working Height

An upper-body lift designed to bring the robot to different working heights.

Mobile Platform

A wheeled base exists as hardware. Reasoning-layer control of the base and lift is still under development.

Grows With the Body

What Vex can do is read from the body it has at start-up, not written into the software separately.

What Vex can already do

Object manipulation

Vex can physically interact with objects using its arms and hands.

Voice interaction

It can hear instructions and answer aloud.

Interruption

It can be interrupted mid-sentence and respond to a new interaction.

Memory

It retains memory across restarts.

SEE. UNDERSTAND. RESPOND.

Designed to work with people.

Vex is built to understand instructions, keep context and interact naturally, while staying within the control boundaries described in the next section.

See

Cameras in the head and chest provide visual information about the environment.

Hear

Vex can hear and respond through its onboard audio system.

Remember

It retains memory across restarts, keeping what it observed separate from what it was told.

Ask

When an instruction is ambiguous, Vex can ask for clarification rather than guessing.

Vision and speech recognition run on the robot itself. Audio and visual information do not need to leave the building, and Vex can continue operating when network connectivity is unavailable.
Continuous environmental awareness and reacting to changes without being prompted are a designed direction, not a currently operational capability.

INTELLIGENCE WITH BOUNDARIES

The reasoning can be flexible. The body cannot.

The reasoning layer decides what should happen, the way a pilot decides where to go. A separate control layer owns the physical body, the way a flight computer will not carry out a command that takes the aircraft outside what it can survive. It enforces movement limits, refuses instructions outside them, and hands control to a human operator on demand. Once an operator takes control, Vex cannot take it back. The physical emergency stop cuts drive power directly, independent of software, and every instruction, refusal and outcome is recorded in a tamper-evident log.

THE ROAD AHEAD

Built now. Building next.

BUILT NOW
  • Arms, hands, neck
  • Cameras, microphone, speaker
  • Physical manipulation & object interaction
  • Spoken interaction, vision, speech recognition
  • Persistent memory
  • Governed control & movement limits
  • Human operator preemption
  • Simulation against the same limits
BUILDING NEXT
  • Reasoning-layer control of the wheeled base and lift
  • Continuous awareness of surrounding space
  • More complete humanoid embodiment
  • Broader physical capabilities
DESIGNED FOR THE FUTURE
  • Reacting to environmental change unprompted
  • Fleet deployment: one reasoning tier, many bodies
THE DIRECTION

From digital intelligence to physical action.

Software that can see. Software that can reason. Software that can communicate. Software that can act. Vex is Veyrion's direction toward intelligence that can eventually operate directly within the physical environments where people work.

What should a humanoid work on next?

Vex is being built to explore what intelligent machines can do when software meets the physical world.
